New perspectives in IBD management featured in JCC and ECCO podcast

We are pleased to highlight a recent publication by our colleagues from Humanitas University in the Journal of Crohn’s and Colitis (JCC).

In their article, Benedetta Ricchi, Alejandra Angela Carriles Linares, and Samuel Elias Pineda Chavez explore emerging approaches in inflammatory bowel disease management, focusing on the shift from traditional pharmaceutical treatments toward biophysical strategies.

This perspective resonates strongly with ongoing efforts within ImmUniverse to better understand disease mechanisms and advance patient stratification and monitoring. Improving these aspects remains essential for enabling more personalized and effective care in immune mediated diseases.

To learn more about the research and the ideas behind it, we invite you to listen to the accompanying ECCO podcast featuring the authors: https://ecco-ibd.eu/publications/news/issues/2026/volume-21-issue-1/meet-the-jcc-plus-authors-alejandra-carriles-benedetta-ricchi
