6th International Caparica Conference on Ultrasonic-based applications from analysis to synthesis
From 26th to 29th of June 2023 more than 150 experts in the field of ultrasonics from the medical, environmental, theoretical, and food industry gathered together at the TRYP Lisboa Caparica Mar Hotel near Lisbon, Portugal. Close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal the 6th International Caparica Conference on Ultrasonic-based applications from analysis to synthesis took place, one of the major events in 2023 in the field of Ultrasonics. The conference featured 11 scientific sessions with more than 60 oral and 19 poster presentations.
On the third day of the meeting, Dr Andrea Cafarelli gave a presentation on “Dose controlled LIPUS stimulation of cells”. During the talk he described the development and validation of highly innovative low-intensity pulsed ultrasound stimulation (LIPUS) systems, which were used in the framework of work package 3 of the ImmUniverse project. Andrea is an Assistant Professor in the “Regenerative Technologies Lab” at the BioRobotics Institute of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Pisa, Italy), working on ultrasound technologies for regenerative medicine applications.
